FBCA ACHIEVEMENTS

Landslip at Marine Drive

The storms in March 2021 caused a major landslip near Kiddies Corner which closed Marine Drive.

The perceived lack of action on addressing this problem was one of the catalysts for the formation of The Fingal Bay Community Association.

The road has now been repaired.

Foreshore Pathway

FBCA worked with Port Stephens Council to make the foreshore overlooking the beach easier to access and more pleasing visually.

Restoring the Fingal Bay Foreshore

Invasive and non-native vegetation (bitou and lantana) was cleared from the banked area of the Fingal Bay beach foreshore in preparation for future bush regeneration and regenerative stabilisation planting. Initial re-planting of native lomandra, pigface and wattle was completed in November 2025.

This project was supported by Port Stephens Council through the Environmental Project Fund 2024.

The purpose of the Fingal Bay Community Association (FBCA) is to represent, promote and develop Fingal Bay for all the local community – a significant aim is to enhance the local environment and the quality of public spaces.
